The workshop will give a chance for children whose parents have divorced to meet in a comfortable setting with other children whose parents have divorced. The group is designed to offer coping skills and to provide expressive outlets through the arts. This will enable kids to better understand the emotional challenges they are faced with and to have an outlet to express them. This is a support group which in essence enables the child to feel less isolated in the experience of divorce.

There is a structured aspect to the groups, which will deal with the following topics:

• Why parents marry and divorce
• Changes
• Two homes
• Identifying feelings
• Grieving processes
• Legal issues
• Stepparents and new relationships
• Happiness and positive models

Group facilitated by Jeff Friedman - MSW, Family Mediator, member of The Israeli Association for Family Therapy, experienced facilitator for 'children of divorce groups' since 1992.
